Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Jenizaro Bot ("the Bot") is committed to transparency about what data it collects and how it is used. This policy describes those practices in plain language.

2. What We Collect

The Bot collects and stores the minimum data necessary to operate its features:

• Discord User ID — used to associate XP, levels, and activity with your account
• XP, level, and message count — used to power /rank and /leaderboard
• Voice activity timestamps — used to calculate passive voice XP
• Intro message IDs — used to locate and edit your intro embed via /update-intro

No usernames, email addresses, IP addresses, or any personal information outside of Discord is ever collected or stored.

3. How It's Used

All collected data is used exclusively to operate the Bot's features within your Discord server. It is never sold, rented, or used for any advertising or marketing purposes. The only case in which message content leaves Discord is the optional translation feature described in Section 6 — and only when you explicitly trigger it.

4. Data Storage

Data is stored in a private SQLite database hosted on Railway's infrastructure. It is not publicly accessible. Railway's own privacy practices apply to the hosting environment and can be found at railway.app/legal/privacy.

5. Data Retention

Data is retained for as long as the Bot is active in the server. If you would like your personal data removed, please contact a server administrator. Removal requests will be fulfilled within a reasonable timeframe.

6. Third-Party Services

The Bot interacts with the following external services:

• Discord API — core platform integration. See discord.com/privacy
• Steam Store API — used to retrieve game artwork for LFG session cards. No user data is transmitted.
• Epic Games Store API — used to fetch weekly free game listings. No user data is transmitted.
• MyMemory Translation API — used only for the optional message translation feature. When a member reacts to a message with a 🇬🇧 or 🇪🇸 flag, the text of that single message is sent to MyMemory to generate the translation, which is then returned privately to the requesting member. No Discord IDs, usernames, or other personal identifiers are sent — only the message text being translated. The feature is never triggered automatically. See MyMemory's privacy policy.

7. Children's Privacy

The Bot is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. Discord's own age requirements apply.

8. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated at any time. Continued use of the Bot after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
